Unless your seats are made out of high end and exotic leathers, most leather seats are treated with a durable coating to protect the fabric. Hence, conditioners would not be needed as it cannot penetrate the coating.
The best way to take care of your seats is to clean it occasionally using a damp microfibre cloth. This removes dirt, oils and other undesired residue. If they are stubborn, try dipping the cloth into some diluted detergent. After cleaning, make sure to air your vehicle.
Try to keep your seats dry as prolonged moisture can cause the seat cover to shrink or crack.
Lastly, do not use seat covers unless your seats are already damaged or torn. Covers can trap dirt and debris, creating friction. Overtime it can cause permanent scratches or creases.
